A snippet of the lyrics to my favorite Christmas song.
God Is With Us
...I feel compelled to tell all who will listen
That peace on earth is not so out of reach
If we can find grace, mercy and forgiveness
He has come to save, He is all of these
Love is raining down on the world tonight
There's a presence here I can tell
God is in us, God is for us, God is with us, Emmanuel
He's the Savior we have been praying for
In our humble hearts He will dwell
God is in us, God is for us, God is with us, Emmanuel

This is my favorite children's Christmas book.
This year we went over to Georgia for Christmas at Steven's sister Jamie's.
Here is a darling pic of Tater and his Aunt Jamie.
Below is a family picture we took on Christmas Eve.
This is Tater and his cousins. (Aunt Regina's boys)
Here is a sweet picture of Aunt Regina, Carl and their boys.
Tater digging in his BAMA bag/stocking on Christmas morning.
Sporting some of his Alabama gear as he unwrapped it.
Family picture in front of Aunt Jamie's beautiful tree :)
And on this Christmas day, the Holiest of days...the day of miracles
came a miracle in and of itself here in the south...
A WHITE CHRISTMAS
Something I have never seen before. And it was beautiful!
We drove home with it snowing.
And we took this picture in our front yard when we arrived home.
Here is our fireplace, mantle and stockings.
I wonder what Santa left us :)
The smile says it all. He got a Playstation 3.
Sunday we celebrated with Steve's mom and his brother and sister and their families.
Tater wasn't there with us because he was hunting with Mr. Coby and D.
Steve's sister Kim, Brandon and the boys.
Bro David, Lisa and their two boys.
Later in the week we celebrated at Nana & PawPaw's.
She made all the grandkids their own special quilt.
It looks awesome in Tater's room!
Only one of my niece's was looking at the camera.
Isn't she lovely :)
I hope y'all had a wonderful and most blessed Christmas!
We sure did! We were surrounded by many of the ones we love. I missed the opportunity
for pictures at our annual Hines family Christmas party with all the aunts, uncles and cousins.
I also didn't get any pics with Mimi & Pop this year :(
Of course as with any holiday we delighted ourselves with
delicious food and desserts.
Nana made the best Chocolate Covered Coconut Candy!
If you like Almond Joy or Mounds, you're gonna love this :)
I asked her for the recipe :
1 stick butter
1 can Eagle Brand milk
14 oz. flake coconut
1 1/2 cup chopped pecans
1- (2 lb.) bag powdered sugar
1 16 oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate
In a medium saucepan, melt butter, stir in milk,
then remove from heat. Stir in coconut and nuts.
Add sugar, mixing well. Form mixture into small balls.
Place a toothpick into the center of each ball.
Put balls into refrigerator to chill for about one hour.
Melt chocolate in top of double boiler.
Dip each ball in the chocolate.
Place on wax paper covered cookie sheet until cool.
Remove toothpicks.
