Just A Few Reasons Why Christmas Feels So Good

I've got a little catching up to do in my posting. Get ready, here we go...
On Saturday December 5th it snowed here in Sweet Home Alabama. Steve took this picture while the rest of us were still sleeping.  It was a beautiful dusting on yards and houses and had no affect on traveling but did cause quite the commotion at the grocery store. If's a known fact we Southerner's panic over the possibility of snow.  But in our defense we don't have road crews like the north and  I'm probably the only owner of a snow shovel in my neighborhood. Thank you Mimi. (fyi) My momma is a New England Yankee although accustom to Southern Living. If you can't beat them, join them. Ain't that right! Really I heard those words come out of her mouth just this past weekend.
Speaking of this past weekend. Santa came early this year. We went to Atlanta this weekend and had a delightful visit with extended family. We also took along our new toys aka iPhone's times 5. This year we used the holiday and our upcoming trip as an excuse to upgrade in the technology dept. Big Daddy, Tater , Myself, Mimi and Pop all got the same gift. Late Saturday evening we were all sitting around in Cody's living room, I looked up and couldn't help but chuckle hehehe; everyone in the room was using an iPhone. The 5 of us got the 16GB 3GS and sitting in the room too on theirs was Freddie and Laura. Poor Cody was the only one not on a new iPhone. Hang in there Cody. Word is you've been pretty good this year and Santa is watching you know!?!? Oh and Tater would like everyone to know that he is now able to receive text from friends during the hours of Sun-Thurs 4pm-9:30pm and Fri-Sat 8am-11pm.  He set his own hours. I thought he did well with the task.
Saturday night we went out on the town with Cody & Laura, Neal, Freddie & Suzy.  While out we learned that Alabama's Mark Ingram won the Heisman.  ROLL TIDE ROLL!!! What an honor and to think he is also Alabama's first recipient of this prestige award.  The Crimson Nation is very excited to share #22's JOY!

Christmas always feels so good to me. So far it has snowed, we got new phones, Alabama's #1 and Mark Ingram has won the Heisman and Christmas is still 10 days away!!!

Merry Christmas :)
